Dr. Geoffrey DT Shaw Ph.D.
Geoffrey D.T. Shaw earned his PhD in History at the University of Manitoba, a Master of Arts in Military History at the University of Victoria (joint program with Royal Roades Military College) and his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Studies at the University of Manitoba.

Leonard M (Mike) Scruggs
Scruggs is a USAF combat veteran of the Vietnam War, during which he received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart, and two Air Medals while engaged in combat operations.
From 1961 to 1969, his service duties included posts as an intelligence officer and navigator.
He is a member of the Air Commando Association, the Air Force Association, and the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
He is the author of two books: Lessons from the Vietnam War, published in 2009, and The Un-Civil War, published in 2011, as well as numerous articles on military history.
He is President of the Henderson County Republican Men's Club, and immediate past Chairman of the Henderson County Republican Party.
He is a member of the North Carolina Veterans Affairs Commission.
He is also a real estate broker associated with Mark White & Associates in Hendersonville.
He retired as an Investment Vice President from Smith Barney (now Morgan Stanley) in 2005.
Scruggs earned a BS degree from the University of Georgia and an MBA degree from Stanford University in California.

James S. Robbins Ph.D.
Dr. James S. Robbins is Senior Editorial Writer for Foreign Affairs at the Washington Times, and Senior Fellow in National Security Affairs at the American Foreign Policy Council. Dr. Robbins is a former special assistant in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and in 2007 was awarded the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joint Meritorious Civilian Service Award. Michael Lee Lanning
Lanning was born on September 18, 1946 in Sweetwater, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A & M University in 1968 and his Master of Science from East Texas State University in 1979.
Lanning retired as a lieutenant colonel after more than twenty years in the U.S. Army where he served all across the United States, in Southeast Asia, and in Germany. In Vietnam he led an infantry platoon, a reconnaissance platoon, and a rifle company. In addition to other command and staff positions, he acted as public affairs officer for General H. Norman Schwarzkopf and served a member of the Department of Defense Public Affairs office. During his time in uniform he earned the Senior Parachute Badge, Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Bronze Star with "V" device and two oak leaf clusters, the Defense Meritorious Medal and a dozen additional commendation and service awards.
